Some homes in flood affected areas are still eligible to apply for the Queensland Government home resilient fund of up to $150,000 towards the cost of raising your home out of the flood waters. Eligible applicants need to apply for funding via the QRIDA portal by 1 December 2025. Your builder must have completed all work and been paid by 30 June 2026.
Type of Works include:
- Preliminary works: Building design, drawing, planning and coordination works required for a licensed contractor to quote and carry out house raising work
- Retrofit: Incorporating flood resilience works in a home
- Home raise: Works to raise a home above the flood level to reduce the impact from future flood events
